Friday Night Dot Shoots
Just about every Friday night Custom Archery Center holds a dot shoot on our indoor range. If you have never participated in a dot shoot, we highly encourage you to start with us. It is a great way to improve your archery skill - AND it will make you a better hunter. We have a mix of experience: from national level competitors to brand new shooters. This is the best way to learn how to shoot better, how to set your equipment up for peak performance, and to exchange tips and techniques with other experienced archers. If you are a new shooter, even if you bought your first bow today, we encourage you to come and participate.
Details:
Cost: $10
Payback: 50% payback
Time: 7:00 PM Friday nights

5 spot NFAA: 6 ends of 5 arrows each for a total of 30 arrows.
5 spot NFAA: 12 ends of 5 arrows each for a total of 60 arrows.
Duration: Generally done by 9:00 or thereabouts.
Scoring: Standard rules - we'll explain if you're new!
Classes: Usually three: open (scope shooters)
pins (typically bowhunter setups)
and recurves.
Sometimes barebow even!
If there are enough shooters, we sometimes break out the classes further.
Bows: Compound or recurve, both are welcome.
Bonus! If you're working on a problem or need help with a specific area of shooting, we often have experienced shooters to help those trying to improve their performance. Ask questions and we guarantee you'll get answers! Much of this is done right after the dot shoot.
We also frequently run a second contest that is handicapped according to ability, if there are enough shooters. This is a fun way for a beginner to take on (and beat!) the "big dogs". Plus it's great experience for "competition pressure". We guarantee you'll have fun!
